Two proposals quote different prices for “wedding coverage”. Compare hours and deliverables before comparing the totals. A price alone does not tell you whether preparations, a civil ceremony on another date or the evening are included.

Start with what you want photographed

List the moments and locations that matter: arrivals, preparations, ceremony, drinks, dinner and dancing. Include travel and waiting time. You can then ask for specific coverage rather than assuming everyone means the same thing by a full wedding day.

If your budget is fixed, share it during the conversation. Discuss priorities and an agreed scope rather than expecting a short booking to stretch across the whole celebration.

Compare the same details

  • Start and finish times, including evening coverage.
  • Number of people photographing the wedding.
  • Preparation and any separate portrait session.
  • Selection, editing, delivery formats and arrangements.
  • Travel, accommodation and any additional expenses.
  • Arrangements for extensions or changes to the programme.

The number of images is not enough to judge quality. Ask what is delivered and look at a complete story to see how people, events and quieter transitions fit together.

Understand the work around the wedding

The day itself is one part of the service. Preparation, selection and editing also shape the result. This gives you useful questions to ask; it does not make any price automatically right for you.

Terms such as editing and gallery can describe different services. Ask what they mean in your proposal, when delivery is expected and how you can view and keep your photographs.

Current Trentième Étage pricing

The About page brings together current options for civil weddings, wedding stories and couple sessions. Consult it for up-to-date prices. Your proposal then specifies hours, deliverables, delivery arrangements and any expenses for your plans.

Allow for travel to Provence

For a wedding away from Paris, share every address and the intended start time. Transport and accommodation needs depend on these details. Ask for the costs to be identified before booking rather than assuming they are included in a starting price.

Keep your comparison useful

A small table is enough: quoted price, hours, deliverables, expenses and unanswered questions. Then return to the photographs and your conversations with the photographer. The proposal should make your decision clearer.
