A ceremony that feels like you, loved ones travelling to be there, a long dinner and the beginning of the party. You are planning a wedding in Provence and looking for a photographer who makes room for the moments as they happen. I am Thao, the photographer behind Trentième Étage. Based in Paris, I travel to the South of France to photograph weddings, subject to availability and the arrangements for your day.
Avignon, Vaucluse and the Luberon: start with your setting
A wedding in Avignon, a reception in Vaucluse, a ceremony in the Luberon or a celebration elsewhere in Provence: your locations and plans are our starting point. Share the addresses for getting ready, the ceremony and the reception. Together, we can plan coverage that takes the journeys between them into account.
Whether you have chosen a town hall, a country house, an estate or a garden, what matters most is what you will experience there together. I look for glances, gestures and conversations as well as portraits and the atmosphere of the setting. Your photographs should bring back the people who were there and the way it felt.

A natural story, from getting ready to the party
Your wedding does not need to become a photo shoot. During preparations, I follow the gestures and the people around you. At the ceremony, I look for exchanges and reactions. Through drinks and dinner, the photographs also tell the story of reunions, speeches and the moments in between.
We make a little time for portraits together, within the rhythm of your day. I offer guidance without asking you to play a part, then you return to your guests. Evening coverage is agreed in your proposal: the story follows the hours we arrange together.

Planning photographs for a wedding in the South of France
Before the wedding, we talk about your schedule, the people who matter and how you want to spend the day. We look at where each part takes place, how to move between locations and when to keep a few minutes for portraits.
For an outdoor ceremony, we discuss its orientation, options for shade and your plans if the weather changes. Portrait time depends on the actual light, your setting and how long you want to be away from your guests. These preparations should help the day flow naturally.

Travel to Provence, pricing and availability
Your location, date and coverage hours help shape a personal proposal. Any travel and accommodation costs are explained before booking. A wedding in Avignon and a day spread across several locations in Vaucluse call for different arrangements.
Photography options and the calendar are together on the About page. A date marked available is still subject to confirmation when we speak. You can get in touch while your plans are still taking shape.

Planning your destination wedding from abroad?
If you are organising your wedding in Provence from another region or country, our first conversations can take place remotely. Share your date, chosen locations and the moments you would like photographed. We can discuss coverage and preparation before every detail has been decided.
Tell me about your wedding in Provence
Your date, your setting in Avignon, Vaucluse, the Luberon or elsewhere in the South of France, and a few words about the atmosphere you imagine are enough to begin. Tell me about the people who will be there and the photographs you will want to return to.
